What I Do
I am an individual investor focused on long-term wealth building and living off my base and profits. My objective is to grow my capital after living expenses on an annual basis, measuring performance over time through weekly data points and journaling my decisions and reflections.
I invest in companies where I have high conviction, seeking asymmetrical upside and comparatively low downside risk, regardless of short-term market drops. My interests lie mainly in biotechnology, but I also invest in technology, fintech, and energy companies with strong differentiation.
The Basics of this Site
This site provides updates on my current holdings, portfolio performance, and investment approach. It serves as a window into my work for others, but also a mirror for me—keeping me aware of what I own and why, and prompting me to constantly question my thesis. It also features the remember page: a space for staying “in-Time” psychologically while markets react and a record of what I’m currently reading. (I go deeper into the meaning of being “in-Time” on the my story page). I do not write articles for publication, offer buy/sell signals, provide a subscription service, or give financial advice —at least not according to how FINRA and the SEC define it.
Conversation
If you want to connect more on these topics, let me know. I recommend using my portfolio—as I would use yours—to gather ideas and learn from each other’s interests and style. We can also share experiences and discuss the psychology required to succeed long-term.
I believe this psycho-emotive element is the most challenging part of individual investing—perhaps 70–80% of the battle. Sensing the substrata of motivation and influence can serve us well in avoiding unnecessary pain or the pull of herd mentality.
This space is not advertised broadly to the public, so if you are reading this —whether we’ve known each other for years, even if it’s been years, or a friend just passed this along—I consider you part of the circle. You likely have my contact info already, but if not, feel free to ask our mutual friend for my details.
